Time Outs Started Today

Lets just say its been one of those days I am starting timeouts with Rylan (he can follow directions like turn off the heater bring me the remote , but is oblivious to what NO means) , he doesn’t want to nap, even if I nurse him to sleep.
Last night he was up till midnight and to top it off he pooped on the floor after I took him out of the bath today, LOL Yep One of those days......
Oh he has had about 6 or 7 time outs so far today and has figured out he has to sit in the chair till the timer goes off, its set for 1 minute......

Suprise Birthday for me ...

My mom threw me a surprise “Over the hill” birthday party on Sunday ..It was so much fun I haven’t had a birthday all to myself in years and years and years LOL .So it was really extra special to walk in to “””{{{SURPRISE}}}””
.My family usually does a combo birthday thing every couple of months….I got some really nice gifts..lets see I received a beautiful tabletop water fountain with angels on it some Estee Lauder beautiful perfume, a light jacket, Navy perfume, a picture frame with a clock hmmmm what else ..oh oh oh I also got some zutter book binder wires and a pretty little dish from England that has flowers and October on it and a handmade scarf whoohoo lucky me …
Randy had already bought me a 500 GB external hard drive for my birhday, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would know what a external hard drive was let alone ask for one for my birthday ….

Dentist = Root Canal For Mama

I have been in pain for the past few months and severe pain since last thursday, so I am getting a root canal tomarrow or the next day ..I am hoping my tooth isn't too far gone I have been to the dentist numerus times for this stupid tooth and they couldn't see how bad it was cracked till I said siomething has to be done .when they took out the filling the seen the huge crack I paid $458.00 for my crown last week then the prepared my tooth and put on a temp crown the pain just got worse and wors over the weekend ..went back in to the dentist today got some pain pills and was told my tooth may not be able to be saved so they put a hold on my crown till my root canal is done ..Root canals are not cheap it will cost us about $250.00 out of pocket ughhh I was thinking we are going to be able to start paying some bills down soon ..Oh well

At the dentist office Rylan made sure everyone had a magazine personally picked out by him...Funny Boy ....

Rylan said the "F" Word ?

The other night as Randy was heading down the hallway and Andrew said from his chair, that Rylan just said the "F" word ! Randy was like
"what", OMG the "F" word, how could he learn that word... we don't even use that word...and the only other vocabulary he has so far is saying Dada, Dat and a occasional Mama, so why would the "F" word be next....

Turns out the "F" word was a fart LOL ..So we are thinking that all this time Andrew has thought that "Fart" saying it, or doing it, is the "F" word...

Trips to the ER over the weekend

First it was Andrew .....
He went camping with Richard and his soon to be in a year new group home and had a big seizure Sunday morning ..Pam called me not knowing if this was normal at the time he was laying on the ground moaning .. We got off the phone and she called 911 ..
We know a couple of the EMT people that arrived and have heard from them that he was pretty out of it ...I met up with Andrew at the hospital they ran some tests and couldn't find anything wrong..He was a bit dehydrated, but that was it as far as blood test that could be found.....
He bit his tongue pretty bad and I am hoping it heals up quickly it looks painful.....

Then that night Rylan woke up with a temp of 101 having tummy pains ..I gave him some motrin and he started throwing up about 5 minutes later but then seemed to feel better and fell asleep, so I put him back to bed this was about 3 am ..We wanted to see if the fever would just go away on its own so we would not have to go to the ER for a urine cath... but he woke up at 5:30 with a temp of 104.9. I gave him some tylonal and off we went back to the ER.. They did a urine cath (its being cultured now ) his urine looked pretty clean a few white blood cells and a few ketones so maybe he was a little dehydrated too.. his ear was red so it looks like it was a ear infection...
Rylan is on amoxicillon now...... Its been a busy tiring weekend ...

I did take pictures for the day in the life of Rylan, but haven't had a chance to resize them ..So I leave you with this for now...... It pretty much sums up life with Rylan these days ..

This is the diary I had started typing up for this post had to finally stop because I couldn't keep up with taking pictures, a minute by minute, play by play of our day and everything else I did this day ... Its fun to read so I thought I would go ahead and post it ..

630 back to bed

730 up for Boo~ba and nap on mama till 9 am

we sat on the couch cuddling till about 4:30

Kisses for Mama

I have a hangnail that’s been hurting like heck today. I had randy give it a kiss and right after Randy kissed it, Rylan came running over and gave it a kiss to.. Of course Rylan gives open mouth kisses LOL… It was so cute……. My mamas heart is just putty in Mr Rylans hands …

Our First call to Poison Control

We had just finished baby proofing the front porch with a gate (Rylan can now open screen doors)
He was out there playing, happy as a clam.. While I was loading the dishwasher...
I looked out there and he was hanging out by the honeysuckle bush and I said out loud to Randy, I hope he isn't eating the leaves.. went out there and he had a red berry in his hand .... I am not sure if or how many he actually ate .. I didn't even think about him eating plants or berries, I was worried he would get off the porch and go out to the highway or disappear into the woods..

Randy ran in to check on the internet if they are safe but our internet was being a pain in the butt and we could only see the google search page..
Some of the short descriptions said 'poison', but we couldn't get on the actual pages to read how bad ..I got Rylan dressed and was ready to head to the hospital, then called poison control center, their number was on the first page of the phone book Thank God ....
I was already thinking in my mind, all the different places I would I have to look before I found it ,you know how phone books are ... I need some Mr Yuck Stickers !!

My call was answered right away and the lady was quick and very nice ..He would be fine, the worst would he would get would be be a upset tummy and maybe some diarrhea......

Today I am picking up some Syrup of ipecac . We live so far out in the country. I don't want to ever take a chance that he would need to have it and we would have a 20 minute drive to pick some up....

Trip to the Coast

August 7, 2007
Rylan you have a new trick you like to take us by our finger and lead us to what you want to do .Most of the times you want to go outside ..Its so cute ……..You get the cutest smile on your face when your walking us around…

You still don’t sleep through the night or take naps consistently…… It makes for a very tired Mama sometimes …………..

We spend 4 days at the beach . Grandpa John and Grandma Mary rented a big house overlooking the ocean. We fell asleep every night to the crashing of the waves on the beach. The weather was perfect. You had so much fun you loved splashing in the ocean I had a heard time keeping you out of the water .. You loved playing in the sand and even put a few handfuls on the sand castle that Uncle James started but didn’t get to far on..You also loved to take handfuls of sand and drop them in the waves ….

Your cousins were there and you had a great time watching them and following them around the house ..You don’t get to spend much time with kids so that was a real treat for you….

You fed the seagulls and would of loved to be able to touch one but they weren’t so sure about you ..You looked so cute with your arm stretched out with bread..(you took a few bits of to make sure the birdies would like it) ….

We went to Ocean world and there was a pirate on a bench right when we came in the door that turns his head and opened and closed his eyes ..You wanted nothing to do with him and screamed when you and daddy sat by him so mama could take a picture ….Then later in the tour there was a pirate lady, she didn’t move and you were fine by her . Silly Boy !!!!

ON Monday JULY 16th

Rylan had his appointment with his urologist Monday ..It went pretty well.... The urlogist siad his reflux is now a grade 2 if even that on the right side and a grade 4 on the left side ...he will still need to take the daily antibiotics till its fixed or has resolved itself ..

In one year another ultrasound to check his kidneys then in 18 months another VCUG if there is no improvement at that time .Rylan would need surgery ...They would go in and cut then reattach where the ureters go into the bladder....The other procedure where they just go in through a catheter doesn't look like it would be the best option...

This doctor might be moving to Idaho in January, so we might start being seen by his partner and that his partner has different views on how to treat reflux Hmmmm .......But he did say that if it was his daughter with this problem he would take her to the partner ........

I just hate this and hope and pray that Rylan will just grow out it !!!

July 8th 2007

Time to catch up a little
Wyatts birthday has come and gone July 2nd 2007 its been 3 years ..I looked at the calendar the other day and it dawned on me someday I will be looking at the calendar and its going to have a 30 or a 40 where that 3 is this year ….I don’t know it just seemed weird ………..





Ok On July 6th Rylan showed me that he knows how to roll his patty cakes ..It was so cute . I haven’t played patty cake with him for a while, I am not sure how long at least a few weeks I would say. So anyways I was doing it with him on the 6th and when we got to the “ You roll ‘um and you Roll’um he ROLLED them, Yes it was exciting

Yesterday we went on a day trip to Hanley farm It’s a historic farm from the 1850s ..We did a garden tour, house tour went on buggy ride and a hay ride It was a beautiful day. Rylan didn’t sit in his stroller at all, he was on his little leash or we carried him … He loved the horses and when we were on the hay ride, he sat right under the seat, below the driver . Very Cute Little Boy indeed………

After our day at the farm we went out to dinner and Rylan sucked out of a straw for the first time EVER …. Daddy taught him how .That’s going to make giving him a drink a lot easier when we are out and about …

If you check out the videos you can see how much he LOVES swimming. He has no fear of the water at all which is kind of scary. We are triple proofing our baby proofing for next year and we will have the creek fenced off so we will just have to wait and see if we will leave the pool up…

Another good night sleep last night ..I think the diffrence has been a long sleeve shirt vs. short sleep shirt ............Its hot when we go to bed but cold in the early morning ....I have decied he can be a bit warm at night and it seems to be working ..I wish I had more long sleeve shirts for him he has grown out of most of the ones I had ...I did buy a few about 2 months ago Thank goodness.....Just wish they were a bit bigger ......

he is so handsome I swear I have a hard time getting through wal-mart with out his fan club stopping him.....Its really fun and funny how he flirts with people ..Yesterday he kept saying dats`dats`dats for "Whats that?' ...and one lady commented that it sounded like he was saying Aflac you know the insurance commercial through the whole store LOL............

AND I had to re-baby proof the baby proofing AGAIN ...and he can now climb on the couch ....

Sleep I love Sleep !!

Mr Rylan slept pretty well last night only waking up at........ hmmm.......darn........ I can't remember...... I think it was around 2 am then 6 am them 8:30 am ......
OMG I feel so refreshed...He did this last week to....Now Friday and Saturday nights was a different story he was up like every 2 hours ughhh...

We.........LOL.......OK.... No me in that we........ BUT Randy and Casey worked on tearing down our old fence a new one will start going up next week......

Rylan did pretty well....
They had suckers there and the x-ray tec asked if he was to little for one and I was all no, lets try, so we gave him the sucker to suck on while they got everything ready he just laid there looking around happy as could be ...........
Of course when they put the cath in he screamed and fought some ...They put some lidocain on in so it wouldn't burn to bad and after they got it in he did suck on his sucker a little more and offered everyone else a taste to LOL...
Then we got out the pinwheel and that kept him busy and quiet for a while, untill we had to turn him from side to side to get more x-rays ....it took about 45 minutes from the time we were called back, till we were done and walking out ....

Good news is that from what we could see the reflux on the grade 4 side looks completely better and the grade 5 side looked smaller/better to us too ..
We will have to wait and see what his ped urologist says when he sees the films/CD but we are confidant that it is looking better ......

Ryan ped called said the test show reflux of grade 3 on one side and grade 4 on the other ..... I am very interested to see what the urologist says

More Birthday Stuff

Rylan loves eating orange things......... Cheese is his all time favorite !!!! We went to the mall last week, there is a little playground there and Rylan loves the toys....... He was less than happy when we had to leave ..I noticed a vending machine just a little ways from the playground and was able to lure Rylan away with a bag of crunchy cheetos ..Yeah cheetos He LOVES them and potato chips …and french fries …..he is not into sweets at all …He can also drink out of a water bottle perfectly and is doing pretty good with a cup better actually the sippy cups ….Our little guy is growing up so quick here’s some more pictures of him on his actual 1st birthday......We were at the mall some are from the little playground….and some that we had done at pennys

A post about Rylans birthday party !!

I feel bad about making such a lame post about such a exciting day, not to mention I am 2 weeks late doing it !!!
I have just been so busy living life and playing with Rylan and Andrew.. That there is just not much time for writing ....I have to say though, that life is wonderful right now I would never of dreamed I could be so happy or having so much fun....

Rylans birthday was greast fun, Although it was RAINING when I woke up ughhh...... It was cool all day, but at least it didn’t rain after the initial morning rain…..

Lets see we had about 30 people, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, cousins and friends..
The party started at 3pm and we served hotdogs, chip and soda......
Then we did pinyata ….Pin the tail on the donkey, opened presents, then had cake and ice cream …..
Rylan was in a great mood all day as usuall …
He took a nap and woke up after lots of people were already here and he just couldn’t figure out what everyone was doing at our house at the same time …..
He dug right into his cake, I was worried he would be up all night from all the sugar, but he did very well ..
I can’t believe he is 1 already such a big boy ….

BIRTHDAY

Summer Plans !!!!

I had my girly check~up yesterday..... My doc asked me what plans I had for this summer and it felt good to say "Well I am not pregnant ....I am not trying to get pregnant.... I didn't just have a baby...... I am HAPPY........ so I am just going to enjoy it" .......
Lets see in 2003 I spent the whole summer worrying that the vasectomy reversal didn't work and I would never get pregnant........
Summer 2004 lost Wyatt July 2nd....
Summer 2005 spent worrying I wouldn't get pregnant AGAIN , because I had lost Tegan and Taylor, Their due date was supposed to be July 4th and it was also the first anniversarry of Wyatts death July 2nd...
Summer 2006 I had just had Rylan so I was definatly happy but recovering from a csection and the loss of half my blood so I couldn't do alot of summer~y things .....
Which brings us to now 2007......
I plan to working in my yard planting flowers, window shopping, tearing out the carpet in my house that I hate and putting in new flooring ....SWIM.....and pretty much relax and eat watermelons and ice cream ...Well I want to try to lose some of this pregnancy weight to, so will also try to start exercizing a little more .........

Thats what I said AND Thats what he did ......I couldn't believe it !!! Rylan you are such a little smarty LOL.........Why doesn't he learn that he is NOT supposed to be climbing on top of the DVR box .... This boy is so much fun LOL....
